Charlotte Concrete Services lifts sunken driveways, sidewalks, patios, porch landings, pool decks and garage floors back to level with mudjacking and polyurethane foam for a fraction of replacement cost, then seals the joints so the slab stays put.
Most settled slabs in Charlotte share a cause: loose clay backfill, downspouts dumping water at the slab edge, or buried stumps rotting away. Cecil clay softens when wet, and with 43 inches of rain a year, voids open and the slab drops.

A driveway panel tipping toward the garage or a walk dropped at a joint can usually be raised in place: we drill small holes, pump cement-based slurry underneath and lift to grade. Leveling and repair runs $3 to $8 per square foot.

Over soft clay we inject expanding polyurethane foam through nickel-sized holes. It weighs far less than slurry, adds little load to weak soil and cures in minutes, so the slab is usable the same day.

CDOT maintains Charlotte's public sidewalks, so most walks we lift are private paths to the door. Dropped panels get lifted flush; panels heaved by willow oak roots need our sidewalk and walkway crew instead.

A patio sloping toward the house, a porch landing pulling from the steps or a sunken garage apron gets lifted in small increments until flush and draining. Crumbling slabs are better off as a new concrete driveway or concrete patio.

Hollow-sounding concrete near a downspout means water has washed the clay out. We fill the void before the slab cracks, then extend the downspout.

Open joints let every storm push water under the slab. After lifting we patch drill holes and seal joints and cracks with flexible sealant, which keeps a leveled slab level.
We measure the drop, find the cause and price each area in writing.
Small holes go in a pattern across the slab; mudjacking holes run slightly larger.
Slurry or foam goes in by stages while we check levels so nothing cracks.
We patch holes, seal joints and correct the drainage. Most jobs take a few hours.
Leveling runs $3 to $8 per square foot. Driveway replacement with removal runs $10 to $16, so lifting saves a lot.
Mudjacking is cheaper on large voids. Foam is lighter, uses smaller holes and cures faster.
With the cause fixed and joints sealed, many slabs stay level for years.
No. Slabs broken into pieces, crumbling or heaved by roots are poor candidates.
If the panel dropped, lifting removes the hazard. Right-of-way work needs a CDOT permit, which we handle.
Foam-lifted slabs the same day. After mudjacking, wait about a day.
